Getting out of the work at home sweat pants rut

Situation: This very successful client is either on the road wearing suits or working from a home office. Her travel clothes were good although a bit older than she was, St Johns etc. She was stuck in “comfort” clothes when she was home which did not look good enough for errands when she had to dash out to her child’s school or go to the grocery. She also did not really appreciate her curves or know how to play up her beautiful features.

Solution: I chose clothes that were still “comfortable” to wear around the house but a step up from sweat pants. Empire seaming in tunics show off her great curves and longer hemlines elongate and slim her profile. Pointy toe ballet flats are as easy as flip flops. They are quick to slip on to run out the door and look fabulous! Pointy toes always elongate the profile. Her new clothes inspried her to change her hairstyle to a slightly more sassy look. She now has a wardrobe that is a bit younger for work, a bit edgier for home and, yes, even comfortable!
