Women’s Global Network Get What You Want More Often

WGN is the the Women’s Global Network is an International business network for successful women. When I recently attended the local San Diego Chapter meeting, I met several women with common goals in a very supportive environment.

I also learned tactics to break through personal and business barriers from speaker Mona Moon, M.A. of Motivation Dynamics, presented great ideas about what some common barriers are:

  1. Not knowing what we want
  2. Not giving ourselves permission to get it
  3. Not knowing to to get waht we wnt
  4. Being afraid to go after it
  5. Giving up too easily

She suggested that we:

  1. Focus  and know what we want
  2. Program ourselves for success
  3. Devlop an action plan and follow through on it
  4. Go for what we want fearlessly and be persistent until we finish

She went further into goal setting with these tips:

  1. Keep goals constructive and positive
  2. Ask yourself- what do I really want and why?
  3. Clearly define your goals and write them down
  4. You dont have to know exactly how you will achieve your goals when you set them
  5. Balance your goals by taking a look at all areas of your life
  6. Set your priorities.
  7. share your goals with others who can help you attain them
  8. Update your goals regularly. Success is a journey, not  a destination

Speaker Annita McDonald of ActionCOACH San Diego presented Designing Your Business Goals. Her tips included a few rules for designing business goals:

  1. Focus on niche ares
  2. Create SMART goals, ones that are specific, measurable, achievable, results oriented with a timeline.

I love these ideas and have written about them myself. Here is a link to another article relating to that topic and including time management techniques.

This group presents monthly meetings all across the United States. I highly recommend that you check it out.
