Just wanted to tell you that in January I went through and made some hard decisions about decluttering and just getting rid of things from furniture to knick knacks, pictures, dishes,etc. We took a trailer load plus the back end of a Suburban to an auction house. I had arranged the date with the auctioneer before hand. There was a lot of things but they were all used. After paying fees to the auctioneer, we received just a little under $1000.00. I don’t miss anything. One has to give up control of how much one thinks the possessions are worth. I believe it’s all “stuff” and “stuff” is meant to be passed on.

Good job taking the bull by the horns and getting your stuff gone! Auction is a great idea. Would you like to tell everyone how you did it and what it was like? I think many folks would be interested in the process.

Unbelieveable. We took a lot of things out of our home and took them to an auction. We made very good money and it isn’t crowded or cluttered anymore.
